September is National Suicide Prevention Month

Updated: Sep 5

From September 7–13, we mark Suicide Prevention Week, this year with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s themes: Looking Out for Each Other and The Power of Connection in Saving Lives.

If you are a veteran, we invite you to honor a sister or brother in arms — living or gone — by adding their name to The Veteran’s Memorial to the Living (VML).

VML is an online memorial, created by veterans for veterans, to recognize the bonds of service, the weight of sacrifice, and the ongoing reality of veteran suicide.

Your story, and theirs, matters here: https://v-m-l.org/#submission

Hands holding military dog tags with text above: "Every name tells a story. Every story deserves to be remembered." Warm, somber mood.

I think this is a necessary initiative to have difficult discussions about such an important topic
